Bringing your new furbaby home is an exciting time for your family and your puppy. It’s best to be prepared to ensure a smooth transition from our home to yours. Your new puppy will come with a puppy pack to get you started, with a blanket with mums scent, a Sample bag of the food your puppy is used to as well as all relative paperwork and vet booklet. 

New puppy shopping can be fun and overwhelming so here’s our guide to the essentials you’ll need. 

A comfy soft bed
A soft puppy bed is the perfect first purchase for your new baby, please note puppies will have accidents, chew and mess up their new beds so it’s best to start inexpensive. Kmart, Big W and Target have great options for the puppy stage. 

Food

Your puppy has been raised on Royal Canin Mini Puppy and a sample bag is in their puppy pack. This is a high quality complete food and anything is to be an extra on top of the Royal Canin Kibbles or wet food.

Your puppy can also eat human grade raw or semi cooked fresh meats, cut into small pieces. It’s best to introduce new foods slowly while puppies digestive system is developing. Raw meaty bones such as lamb leg bones are fantastic tasty teething tools for your new dog! 

Water and Food Bowls 

Theres no need to overthink their food bowl choices, just something easy to clean regularly like ceramic or stainless steel is great. 

Puppy Pads

Your Loveable puppy will come with beginning training on grass and puppy pads. Puppy pads are inexpensive and a life saver with new puppies, they usually come in a large pack and are very handy. Don’t skip this handy product!

Play pen or Crate 

The big wide world of their new home can often be too overwhelming for your new puppy, especially in terms of toilet training. It’s best to have a puppy pen or crate area where puppy can  relax, have down time and eat/drink in peace. Your new puppy has been trained In both play pens and crates. It’s best to have this area equiped with puppies bed with their blanket with mums scent, their food/water bowl. Some soft toys and a puppy pad for accidents.
